azi am primit mailuri de la 2 firme. una din ele a trimis numai ce acte ai nevoie pt a lucra la ei si un application form mai detaliat fata de ce aveau la stand.
a doua firma mi-a trimis 3 oferte+ m-a sunat sa ma anunte ca mi-au trimis mail. cerintele pt post mi se par exagerate pt un rezident de la noi(sau poate ca nu stim noi foarte multe lucruri...). au o tona de prescurtari pe care nu le-am inteles(nu ma interesa Anglia...). pe langa munca de spital tre sa fii si un gen de preparator de pedi...
OVERALL AIMS OF THE POST
To provide an effective and efficient comprehensive Paediatric Service within Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, in collaboration with Senior, Junior and other Trust staff and with other Trusts providing care to children in the Region.
To comply with the Trust’s agreed policies and procedures drawn up in consultation with the profession on clinical matters and to follow the standing orders and financial instructions of the Trust.
To help, train and supervise junior medical staff in Paediatrics.
To help organise and deliver a comprehensive teaching programme in Paediatrics for medical students from Keele University and St George’s Medical school.
To assist in the development of guidelines and procedures within the Paediatric Department.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be contracted to work 11 Programmed Activities per week as per the new SAS contract. They will participate in the on-call rota which is currently 1 in 7.5 with prospective cover. A copy of the basic rota structure is included in this Job Description but a Job Plan will be agreed between the appointee and Clinical Lead.
The Department has implemented full shift on-call rota in August 2009 with a compliment of 8 Middle Grade Doctors.
The Specialty Doctor will cover the in-patients (both on the Children's Ward and SCBU) and attend out-patient clinics. There is a service commitment to General Paediatrics out-patient clinics and the doctor will see new and follow-up patients under the supervision of a Consultant Paediatrician.
There are specialist clinics available in respiratory medicine, diabetes, endocrinology, gastroenterology and immunology. It is anticipated that the appointee will be able to develop their specialist interest by regular attendance at the appropriate clinic and any related activities (e.g. endoscopy sessions) that they wish to participate in.
Starting August 2009, the department will have four medical students from Keele University at all times on eight week placements. In addition ~12 students every year from St George’s Medical School, Grenada do their placement in Paediatrics at Stafford General Hospital. The post holder will have the responsibility to formulate and organize, under Consultant supervision, regular teaching sessions and tutorials.
Further responsibilities include:
1) Arranging admissions and the preparation of discharge summaries as appropriate.
2) Ensuring records of patients dealt with are accurate, up to date, legible and signed.
3) Supervision of Speciality Trainees (ST & FTSTAs), GPVTS, Foundation trainees and participation in their training as requested.
4) Teaching of medical students from St George’s & Keele University or from other places from time to time.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Support the Paediatric Clinical Staff in providing a comprehensive Paediatric service in Mid Staffordshire.
2. Manage and develop Paediatric services with other clinical colleagues.
3. Provide clinical cover for the other medical colleagues on a reciprocal basis during periods of absence, including annual, study and special leave.
4. Maintain and improve knowledge and skills, both in clinical and organisational areas. The postholder will be expected, with the approval of the Clinical Lead of the department to develop and follow a programme of continuing medical education which meets his/her requirements within the study leave provision.
5. Participate in clinical audit and act on the recommendations arising from such audits.
6. Deploy unallocated flexible professional time on other clinical duties, administration; teaching, research, clinical audit and other related duties.
7. Adhere, in all areas of responsibility, to Trust and national policies, procedures and financial standing order.
8. To assist in the organisation and delivery of elements of the in-house teaching programme.
9. Any other duty as may be required by the Trust.
